Should I include HNAZ in my plans?
What are the benefits?
When planning our estates, we all face the typical questions of what property are we leaving, who will benefit, and how will it be done. For Christians a related question is, “do we include our church in those plans?”
This discussion uses the term Will but would also apply to a trust.

Benefits
Your Will can be a reflection of your VALUES. What you do (or don’t do) makes a powerful statement about the people and organizations important to you.
Naming the HNAZ in your Will is an excellent opportunity to express your Christian values. Leaving a tithe or percentage of your estate to the church is also an opportunity to continue providing for future ministries beyond your lifetime.
When giving at the end of life, you are giving property no longer needed. We may not have always been able to support the church at the level desired; however, at the end of life we have opportunity to be more generous with assets no longer needed.
You worked hard to accumulate your assets and the Endowment Fund will honor that by only spending the income.
Giving is an Act of Faith
As Christians, we understand that all we have comes from God. When we recognize God in all we have, all we are, and all we do, giving becomes an act of faith. An option for acting on this faith is including the church in your Will.
When you make a gift to HNAZ at the end of life, you are doing more than just making a gift, you are making a difference in the lives of many people through ministries of the church for many years into the future.
